Heisenberg’s Uncertainty

The Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle argues and sets limits on our ability to simultaneously know certain properties of a particle, like position and momentum. I think this remains true for feelings as well. To understand the true nature of how you feel about something or someone, you must reflect and observe the feelings. The mere act of reflection changes the feeling themselves.

This blog is a great example of that. It is a way for me to pour my heart out and observe my own internal universe in context of a person or a topic. However just like in quantum mechanics, the act of measuring or observing a quantum system inevitably alters its state; the act of observing my feelings changes how I feel about someone.

So the ultimate question is whether the proverbial cat inside me is dead or alive? All I can assume is that we will only find out when someone cuts me open to find the cat inside. That would be the day to know the truth.
